Pastor Mark & Wanda Novalés are the lead pastors of CityReach Philly church, a thriving church in Philadelphia that believes God uses unlikely people, from overlooked places to do extraordinary things. Over the last five years, they have witnessed the growth and transformation of many people that have found freedom through faith. They celebrated twenty years of marriage this past May and are the parents of two outstanding young men, Mark and Joseph.
Mark Novalés is the Lead Pastor of CityReach Philly church. Born in East Chicago, Indiana, he married Wanda and moved to Philadelphia in 1996. Mark joined the US Army in 1989 where he served as a Major for over 26 years and retired in 2016. Mark is also a Combat veteran, having served in both Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Mark graduated from Excelsior College with a Bachelor’s of arts in 2005 and from Biblical Seminary in 2013. His forgotten dreams were revived in 2011 when he felt the Lord calling him to plant a church in Philadelphia. The dream became a reality when CityReach Philly church opened in 2013 – a place that has been a channel of blessing in the lives of many. Today, Mark’s initial dreams continue to be exceeded in every way. Mark believes that God wants to receive your dreams, revive them, and exceed them! “It is your job to hand them over to him, trust him, know him, serve him, and understand that he is for you not against you.”
