Pulse of Kensington
With Ramon Cruz
|Sunday||4:00 pm||5:00 pm|
Pulse of Kensington explores and analyze, up close and personal, the struggle and challenges of a community plagued by crime, violence and crime.
Ramon Cruz is born and raised in the Kensington/Fairhill section of Philadelphia. As a person of lived experience, he has become an advocate for people with substance use disorder and mental health challenges.
Ramon is recovering from many years of substance use disorder and prison incarceration. He recently celebrated four years in recovery and is very active in his community. Ramon is very passionate about helping remove the stigma of co-occurring challenges and re-entry for ex-offenders.
His aspiration is to let people know through his personal story and other people’s stories, that recovery is possible. My goal is to “spread hope and healing in the Kensington area.”
