Fernando was born in Bogota, Colombia. He is a longtime resident of Philadelphia with decades of community engagement and public service. His community work includes Television host of the show “En Portada,” on Telemundo from 2005 to 2014.  A show dedicated to informing the community about current events – interviewing politicians, community leaders and other individuals in the news. Radio Host for, El Ritmo de la Comunidad talk radio, for more than 5 years. Publisher El Tiempo Latino/Latin Times from 1987 to 1992.

Fernando is a founding member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Mexican Cultural Center. He was formerly the Editor of El Sol Latino Newspaper (1996-2002) and presently serve as Editor-at-large.

The Roundtable is a political forum, exploring issues and ideas in regional, national and international affairs. This lively discussion brings thoughtful analysis, fresh perspectives and new insights on the major stories and events of the day.
