Philadelphia, Pa. Cherron Perry-Thomas is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Diasporic Alliance for Cannabis Opportunities (DACO). Cherron’s interest in healthy lifestyle choices begin at an early age growing up in Memphis, TN. Another “health agent” for change, she founded a marketing and sales company to promote natural and sustainable brands to national retailers.
Starting Green Dandelion in 2005, many of her very first clients were hemp based companies from India and Canada. This interest in the health and sustainability benefits of the cannabis plant continues today.
Cherron is a a graduate of the University of Tennessee (Chattanooga) and post graduate studies at Temple University. She is an alumni of the University of Pennsylvania’s Executive Program for Social Impact and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. Active in several Philadelphia community organization, her and her husband have two adult daughters.
Her involvement with various charities and staunch support of many social issues, such as the ethical treatment of all people and animals, environmental protection, equity and restorative justice, have shaped her “best practices for working in the cannabis space.
Cherron has a strong interest in cooperative business and shared value as solutions for economic empowerment in the growing sector of cannabis for underrepresented communities.
